Vegan pear chocolate and walnuts crumble

Updated: Feb 2, 2022

Did you remember my heart-shaped vegan blueberry crumble?

Well it was so good that I decided to make other versions of it.

Here is one of them. I hope you like it too.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 small pear

  • 1 Tbs sugar (13g)

  • 1/2 Tbs flour (4g) *

  • 1/2 Tbs lemon juice (7g)

  • pinch of salt

--- CRUMBLE ---

  • 16g walnuts flour *

  • 25g rolled oats

  • 25g maple syrup *

  • 16g coconut oil (melted)

  • chopped walnuts

  • dark chocolate chips

--- TOPPING ---

  • whipped cream

  • confectioners' sugar

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare your small baking dish (I used a cute <3 shaped dish but I think you can also use 2 ramekins for this recipe).

  2. Peel and chop the pear is small pieces and place them in a small bowl.

  3. Drizzle with lemon juice, sugar, flour and salt and leave aside.

  4. In another bowl or even a mug mix together oats, walnuts flour, maple syrup, melted coconut oil and chopped walnuts.

  5. Pour seasoned pears inside the baking dish and then top with the oat and walnut crumble.

  6. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until the surface appears golden brown.

  7. Top with whipped cream or confectioners' sugar and serve warm.

  8. Enjoy :)

RECIPE NOTES:

  • You can use corn/potato/wheat starch instead of flour.

  • You can make walnuts flour just chopping walnuts with a food processor.

  • You can use honey if you don't have maple syrup.
