Cereally Banana Pudding

Updated: Apr 13, 2021

A while ago I bought a box of Nilla banana pudding cereal and I discovered that they are the cereal version of Nilla wafers, cookies usually used to make banana pudding.

Honestly I didn't really like them just soaked in milk but I think they are great for baking and making small cereal treats!

So I made a mini pudding that has layers of cereal, banana slices and vanilla pudding, plus a crunchy chocolate bottom!!

It was cute and delicious, check out the super easy recipe below if you like it :)

INGREDIENTS:

--- TOPPING ---

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Peel and slice the banana.

  2. Make vanilla pudding on the stove as directed in the package (my pudding only calls for a cup of milk) and set aside to let cool a bit.

  3. Layer banana slices inside a 10cm silicone mould with high sides.

  4. Create a second layer with Nilla Banana Pudding Cereal.

  5. Pour prepared vanilla pudding on top of that.

  6. Add a last layer of bananas and Nilla Banana Pudding Cereal.

  7. Melt dark chocolate in the microwave or on a double boiler and pour on top of cereal.

  8. Place in the fridge to set for at least 4 hours.

  9. Melt dark chocolate with a splash of milk on a double boiler until you get a pourable consistency.

  10. Remove from the mould and garnish the pudding with stripes chocolate and Nilla Banana Pudding Cereal crumbles.

  11. Enjoy :)

RECIPE NOTES:

  • I used vanilla soy milk to get even more vanilla flavour but of course you can use any milk you want.

  • It might be a vegan friendly dessert if your vanilla pudding mix is vegan :)

  • I also made a Cereally Banana Cream Parfait with this cereal, check it out here!!!
