Banana bread cereal pops
Updated: Apr 13, 2021
It's banana bread day!
Here a fun and delicious way to celebrate: Banana bread cereal pops!
Just crumble your leftover banana bread, create small balls and cover them with chocolate and cereal.
It's super easy and super customisable idea for every time of the year.
You can check it out in the section below!

INGREDIENTS:
Banana bread of choice (not too dry) *
Dark chocolate
White Chocolate
DIRECTIONS:
Line up some silicone or paper mini cups.
Crumble your banana bread and place it in a bowl.
Make some balls with a small ice cream scoop and place them inside your prepared mini cups (they should weight about 20g each.. I don't suggest to make them bigger otherwise they will break during the glazing process).
Insert a wooden stick inside each one of them and place them in the freezer to set for at least 1 hour.
Melt dark chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler (in this case I highly recommend the double boiling situation since the chocolate is going to harden very quickly and it will be difficult to work with it).
Dip your cake balls in the melted chocolate and sprinkle them with cereal (I used Rice Krispies, Nilla Banana Pudding Cereal and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios).
Repeat the same process with white chocolate and other cereal (I used Cocoa Krispies and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios).
Place them in the fridge to set for at least 30 minutes.
Enjoy :)

RECIPE NOTES:
I chose the same recipe as the one I used to bake banana bread baked donuts or banana bread mini muffins.
You can obviously use any cereal you like.
Store in the fridge for 1 week or in the freezer for a month or so.

If you make it let me know! :)
